The birth of Super Ricas is marked by the force of an idea of its creator, when he was finishing his career in business administration, when when he arrived in Bogotá after a concert he saw numerous bags of snacks on the ground and said to himself , "This has to be a big business", and that's how it started, a year later the first plant was already erected in the Rionegro neighborhood in Bogotá.

The birth of Super Ricas is marked by the strength of an idea of its creator, when he was finishing his career in business administration, when when he arrived in Bogotá after a concert he saw numerous bags of snacks on the ground and said to himself , "This has to be a great business", and that is how a potato chip company proposed a degree project. One year later the project was already a reality, the first plant in the Rionegro neighborhood in Bogotá, which began its journey semi-industrially.

And in this format and specialized in Potato Chips, they remained in operation for 10 years, until at the beginning of the 70s Chicken Roasters became fashionable in Bogotá, which were full of customers at all hours, which led him to Super Ricas founder Carlos Eduardo Silva to create the first chicken-flavored potato chips, all naturally, which immediately became a huge success.

Accompanying the success of its flavors, the company went one step further, by making the leap to complete production automation, in order to produce more efficiently and grow with quality and excellence.

At the same time, it was decided to consolidate the distribution network with tricycles and vans in order to reach more neighborhood stores and chain stores.

The 80s were a decade of extensive innovation in technology and in the creation of new products, in these years Tajaditas, the brand of plantain chips, and Todo Rico was born, which was an innovation by mixing potato chips, plantain and chirricos lo which became a type of lunch for all Colombians.


This year they not only innovated in products, but also in the organization of the productive force, by forming several micro-enterprises to support distribution with workers and their family members, creating a great entrepreneurial force supported by the parent company, cultivating the values ​​of belonging to a great "Super Ricas" family.
